Some of the top-notch standard features consist of a remote keyless entry system with confirmation tone, a heavy-duty rear window defogger with timer, driver and front passenger sun visors with vanity mirror and an auxiliary input jack.

Engine and Performance
Powerful engine and seamless transmission system
The Toyota Sienna is available in four trims: CE, LE, XLE, and Limited. All trims are powered by a refined and powerful 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve VVT-i V6 engine that produces 266 hp @ 6200 rpm and 245 lb-ft of torque @ 4700 rpm. The V6 engine teams with a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive unleashing power flawlessly.

Buyers can choose between a 2WD and a 4WD for any of the trims, but the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) is available only on the LE, XLE, and Limited trims. The Limited trim comes standard with a power-assisted ventilated front disc brake and a rear drum brake along with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). AWD models come standard with 4-wheel disc brakes and Vehicle Stability Control and Brake Assist. The fuel economy ranges from 18 mpg in the city to 23 mpg on the highway for an AWD, whereas the 2WD gives 19 mpg and 26 mpg in the city and highway respectively.

Walk-around
Splendid and superb build quality
This second generation Toyota Sienna lives up to the mark. The Sienna’s fabulous design and smooth contour with clean lines arouses curiosity among minivan fans to take it for a long drive. Sienna was redesigned with a 119.3-inch wheelbase and it measures 200 inches in length with a height of 68.9 inches.

The Sienna has an imposing presence, especially, at night with its big restyled and elegantly designed aerodynamic multi-reflector headlamps with auto-off feature and trendy tailamps. The Sienna CE rides on standard 16-inches steel wheels that deliver excellent road grip and off-road capability. LE and Limited trims are fitted with 17 inches steel wheels. The tinted window glasses synchronize with the black window frame and the roof racks.

Body-colored front and rear bumpers are built by keeping in mind the safety of the passengers in case of a head on collision. Stylish grille embedded with the Toyota insignia in the center accentuates the front fascia.

CE and LE come standard with dual sliding door with power windows while XLE and Limited come standard with fog lamps and high solar energy-absorbing glass on windshield and driver and front passenger window. Fine luxurious equipments are fitted to offer not only a comfortable ride but also to give a luxurious feel. The Sienna is spacious enough to carry a family of seven to eight adults for an adventure jaunt.

The cargo space is of 36.8 cu-ft, which can be enlarged to 148.9 cu-ft with all the seats folded allowing you to tow up to 3500 pounds. The interiors of the Sienna are quite upscale and stylish but it is reasonably priced. The comfortable seats are contoured with superior quality stone leather. The tilt/telescopic steering wheel and large rear view mirrors allow the driver great visibility while driving. The wood trimmed dash looks impressive and has an elegant layout of gadgets and controls that are placed appropriately for the driver’s convenience.

Driving Impressions
Comfortable and responsive drive
A refined and powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine is smooth and strong. The Sienna rides very comfortably. Handling is responsive and secure. The Sienna strikes a proper balance between ride and handling.

While negotiating curves and mountain roads, the Sienna drives more like a car than a minivan. The steering is responsive with hardly any body roll when cornering. The Sienna’s transient response is good as it can quickly change directions without losing composure. It feels firm and stable at high speeds and the steering is quite nice and light at low speeds. With a turning radius of less than 37 feet, the Sienna is easy to maneuver in tight parking lots and in U-turns.

The vehicle stability control utilizes the braking system to assist the driver to maintain control in adverse driving conditions and traction control helps reduce tire slippage during acceleration. The AWD is recommended for anyone who drives in wintry or heavy rain conditions. AWD adds greatly to all-weather capability. During the usual dry weather, the ride quality is not much different between the front-wheel-drive and the all-wheel-drive models.

A smooth and responsive five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive improves the Sienna’s performance in the city and highway. This transmission helps with fuel efficiency achieving an EPA estimate of 19/26 mpg (city/highway) for a 2WD and 18/23 mpg (city/highway) for an AWD.

Safety
