2020 Toyota Corolla: How to Pair Your Phone with Toyota Entune System

Current Corolla owners, check out this short video presented by Tracy Toyota and learn how to pair your smartphone to your Corolla's Entune System. By Bluetooth pairing your phone to your Corolla, you'll be able to make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, access your favorite apps and music, and more.

How to Pair Your Phone with Bluetooth

  1. Turn on your phone and start your car. Tap Continue on your Toyota in-dash display.
    Note: It may take a few seconds for the display to load.
  2. Push the Phone Button on your Toyota in-dash display.
  3. From your phone, go to Settings, select Bluetooth, and make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. Note for Android Users: You must first download Entune 3.0 and Scout GPS Link apps to your phone.
  4. From your Toyota in-dash display, select the Apps button ? select Setup ? press Bluetooth ? press Yes to pair your phone.
    Note: It may take a few seconds for your phone to connect.
  5. From your Toyota in-dash display, select your phone from the device list.
  6. Once you select your phone, a pin number will appear on your Toyota's in-dash display and also on your phone's screen. Confirm the pin numbers match and then select Pair on your phone.
  7. From your phone, choose to allow your Contacts and Favorites to Synch. This will allow you to access your Contacts and Favorites from your Toyota in-dash display.
    Note: It may take a few seconds for the in-dash display to load.
  8. Once your phone finishes pairing, you will be able to see your phone's Call History, Favorite Numbers, Contacts, and Messages, as well as utilize a numpad for dialing numbers directly from your Toyota in-dash display. You may connect up to five phones to your Toyota. Follow the same process to pair additional phones. If you choose to pair additional phones to your Corolla, then you may select which one to use by pressing Select Device on the in-dash display.

Accessing Apple CarPlay

Once your phone is paired to Entune, then  your Toyota in-dash display will mirror your phone's home screen. In addition to accessing Audio, Phone and Setup, applicable apps will display with familiar icons that you will be able to access directly from your Toyota in-dash display.

Accessing Voice Command

  1. From your Toyota in-dash display, go to Menu ? Setup ? Voice ? Select Train Voice Command ? Press Start.
    Tip: When repeating the Voice Command phrases, try to use the same tone of voice. This will help the Entune system better recognize your voice for ease-of-use later on.
  2. Once you've finished programming Voice Command, you will be able to access this feature from a button on your steering wheel. Just the press that resembles a talking person and deliver your command (e.g., Call John Brown.).
