The Toyota Highlander just got bigger and better. The all-new 2024 Grand Highlander ushers in a new era with more space for people and more cargo space—up to 97.5 cubic feet—inside it’s elongated body that features an extra-roomy third row.

New 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander dimensions are both longer and wider than the regular Toyota Highlander, with enough space for fully-grown adults in all three rows. Second row bench seat models include comfortable seating for up to eight, and models with second row captain’s chairs easily seat seven people.

Toyota Grand Highlander Powertrain Options

The new Grand Highlander offers three powertrain options, including two shared with the regular Highlander models. A powerful 265 horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission comes standard and can be paired with either front wheel or all wheel drive.

Drivers can also choose the Highlander Hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter engine with two electric motors for a max 243 horsepower. A new Hybrid MAX Powertrain pairs a 2.4-liter engine with an electric motor for up to 362 horsepower and a 6,000 lbs maximum towing capacity.

Connected Technology Gets An Upgrade

All new Grand Highlander models come with a standard 7.0-inch digital driver display and gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Toyota’s latest software interface. Limited and Platinum models are equipped with a larger all-digital 12.3-inch touchscreen display.

Every model—Grand Highlander XLE, Limited, Platinum, Hybrid XLE, Hybrid Limited, Hybrid MAX Limited, and Hybrid MAX Platinum—include a handy wireless smartphone charging pad. An 11-speaker JBL stereo upgrade is offered on the Limited and Platinum models.
