The compact car class has become more competitive thanks to the 2024 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The sides will have black-painted sport-side rocker panels and black-capped exterior mirrors with heat and power adjustability. On the back, Toyota is putting a black Vented Sport Wing, a rear lip spoiler, and a two-toned color combination with a black roof. A panoramic sunroof is available with the SE Premium package.

The Nightshade Edition sits atop a Toyota New Global Architecture-C platform with a super-rigid structure and a low center of gravity to provide an agile ride with superior handling. The Corolla Hatchback features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and an EPA-estimated combined fuel economy rating of 35 MPG. It has a continuously variable automatic transmission that uses Dynamic Shift for a performance feel at takeoff.

Toyota bases the Nightshade Edition on the Corolla SE trim. The features include sport seats with special fabric inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a push-button start. Technology in the Corolla Nightshade includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, four USB ports, six speakers, and the “Hey Toyota” virtual assistant. A nine-speaker JBL audio system is available.

The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 features include Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic-Sign Recognition, Automatic High-Beam Headlights, and a Rearview Camera.
